A small, beautiful trail on the lush slope of Prophet Elias Hill in Komi. The path is distinct, well-maintained and ascends with successive switchbacks to the summit of the hill, offering a panoramic view. To the west, endless fields with mastic trees and olive groves unfold. To the north, the same landscape extends, culminating in the seaside settlement of Komi. Eastward, the blue of the Aegean Sea, and to the south, the archaeological site and the harbor of Emporio, with the volcanic hill Psaronas, the Oura cape, and the rocky islet Venetiko in the distance.

Departing from the concrete road that connects Komi with the old stone quarry of Kalamoti, we enter the trail, initially paved with stone steps to facilitate the ascent. Subsequently, until the summit of the hill, we walk either on rocks or dirt, with some sections of cobblestone. As we ascend, we hear the buzzing of bees and the chirping of cicadas, surrounded by strawberry trees, cistus, erica plants, oak shrubs and wildflowers. Among them, scattered monoliths add a distinct beauty to the landscape.

The climb might tire those less experienced in hiking, but since the trail is very short, everyone can complete it, even with 1-2 breaks for rest. However, keep in mind that the descent, although undoubtedly easier, poses risks for those who walk carelessly or run.
